Milwaukee’s Gift to Ningbo on Display

Starting June 10th Milwaukee’s gift will be on display for residents before being shipped to its permanent home in Ningbo, China. In 2011 Milwaukee will present its sister city Ningbo with the 6 ft golden eagle. This gift is in response to the 2008 presentation of Ningbo’s two stone lions to the city of Milwaukee. The lions can be seen at the entrance of the Zeidler Municipal Building on Broadway St. in downtown Milwaukee.

The eagle, created by created by artist Mike Capser, is currently on display at the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) lobby on the first floor. Viewers are welcome.

Milwaukee Delegation Visits Ningbo China

Wednesday June 9, 2010- This week the Milwaukee delegation visited Ningbo, China to participate in an international trade exhibition and meet with local officials. Ningbo and Milwaukee have been unofficial sister cities since 2006.

During their visit the delegation meet with Deputy Party Secretary Yijun Tang, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Ningbo Sub-Council (CCPIT) /China Chamber of Commerce Ningbo Chamber (CCOIC) Chairman Mr. Zheng Wei Gu and officers of the Ningbo Municipal Government and Foreign Affairs Office.

Throughout meetings Yijun Tang focused on the rapid growth of cooperative initiatives between Ningbo and Milwaukee since becoming sister cities in 2006.

The Milwaukee delegation, led by Martha Brown, Deputy Commissioner of City Development and Bob Kraft, MMAC China Council Co-Chair and Chairman/CEO of RCI FirstPathway Partners would like to thank all of their friends in Ningbo for their gracious hospitality.

Yuan Visits RCIFPP Corporate Headquarters

RCI FirstPathway Partners was honored to host Kevin Yuan of Nanjing, China this week.  During his visit Mr. Yuan met with high level MMAC officials to discuss EB5. Yuan also toured projects and areas of development throughout the region including The Pabst City Development, The Menomonee Valley and others. RCI FirstPathway Partners looks forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Yuan and Qiaoye Investment Consulting Co.,Ltd.

RCIFPP Hosts Ningbo Officials

RCI FirstPathway Partners (RCIFPP) was proud to assist Bangjie He, Ambassador of Ningbo to the US, in hosting China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Ningbo Sub-Council (CCPIT) /China Chamber of Commerce Ningbo Chamber (CCOIC) Chairman, Mr. Zheng Wei Gu and Chief of the Ningbo Dept of International Exhibition, Mr. Wei FU.

During their visit to Milwaukee guest’s toured RCIFPP headquarters, the Harley Davidson Museum, and other points of interest around Milwaukee. RCIFPP was honored to host such esteemed guests.

Ningbo and Milwaukee Sign MOU

Milwaukee- On Tuesday March 16, 2010 the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Ningbo Sub-Council (CCPIT) in joint with the China Chamber of Commerce Ningbo Chamber (CCOIC) finalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce ( MMAC ).

In a closed meeting, CCPIT/CCOIC Chairman Zhengwei Gu and MMAC President Tim Sheehy signed an MOU which aims to bridge cultural, trade and economic exchange between Ningbo, China and Milwaukee, USA. Ningbo is Milwaukee’s informal sister city.

Other attendees were the Chief of the Ningbo Department of International Exhibition Mr. Wei FU, Milwaukee Deputy Commissioner Martha Brown, MMAC Vice President Peter Beitzel, Ningbo Ambassador to the United States Bangjie He, RCIFPP Chairman and CEO Bob Kraft, RCIFPP Partner Dick Zagorski, and attorneys Julie Lee and Tom Gehl.

RCIFPP Chinese Executives Visit Milwaukee

Last week RCI FirstPathway Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee welcomed Fred and Linan Eden, from RCIFPP China. During their trip Fred and Linan visited with staff and local officials. The two also had an opportunity to visit the Pabst Brewery Re-development, the Aloft Hotel, and other various projects around the city.

Throughout his visit Fred boasted of the value and beauty found in Milwaukee.  ”With such a great program platform, the fund will be easy to promote now that I have seen and grown fond the city and its people.”

RCI FirstPathway Hosts Coryo

Last week RCI FirstPathway Partners was honored to host the president of Coryo, one of the largest and most respected Korean immigration firms. Her associates included Mr. Kim and Ms. Oh.

During their trip our guests were able to tour the Aloft Hotel, the Pabst Redevelopment, Miller Park, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) and City Hall. While visiting City Hall, our guests had the pleasure of meeting with Head of City Development, Patrick G. Walsh and City Commissioner, Rocky Marcoux to discuss Milwaukee’s vibrant investment environment. City representatives also voiced their willingness to help facilitate Korean and other foreign investment throughout the area.

We were honored to have such agreeable and accomplished guests. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Mrs. Kim and Coryo.

Brian Kim visits Milwaukee

RCI FirstPathway’s Korean Marketing Specialist, Brian Kim visited Milwaukee this week to meet with government officials, performed site visits and learn more about the region. During his visit Mr. Kim spoke highly of Milwaukee calling the local community “prosperous, vibrant and eager to welcome Korean entrepreneurs.”

Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium in Ningbo

June 8th through the 10th thousands of people from around the world visited the International Trade Conference Pavilion in Ningbo for The Zhejiang Investment & Trade Symposium, among those in attendance was RCI FirstPathway Partners. The Zhejiang Investment & Trade Symposium serves to encourage exchanges and discussion between companies in the Zhejiang province and overseas investment promotion organizations such as Economic Cooperation Zones, and sister cities like Milwaukee.

During the conference RCI FirstPathway executives attended a lunches hosted by The Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office, The Ningbo Foreign Trade and Cooperation Bureau, The Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office and The Xiangshan Municipal Government. Topics for the meetings included future cooperation, gift exchange, visits, and promotion of the EB5 program.

On the final day of the conference RCI FirstPathway executives attended “Presentation on Investment in the US” a conference jointly held by Council of American States in China (CASIC) and the City of Ningbo.  During this conference RCI FirstPathway Representative Young Shen was honored to present “Investor Immigration: New Developments and the EB5 Immigration Process” to hundreds of attendees.

While in Ningbo executives also met with the Bank of China & local immigration agents.

Chinese Ambassador Visits Milwaukee

The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) China Business Council was honored to host the distinguished and admired Ambassador of China to the United States, Zhou Wenzhong, and the Consul General of China in Chicago, Huang Ping, during its annual Chinese New Year Reception on Monday, February 9. Over 75 invited guests and dignitaries gathered to celebrate the Lunar New Year with delicious Jiăozi, stimulating speeches and striking Chinese calligraphy scrolls.

 

Among the speakers was Ambassador Zhou Wenzhong, who spoke highly of his visit to Milwaukee. It was obvious that this event symbolized the not only the meeting of East and west but the solidification of China’s connection to SE Wisconsin.

 

MMAC China Business Council Co-Chairs Ulice Payne and First Pathway Partners’ Bob Kraft, were honored to present the Ambassador with Milwaukee keepsakes. During the event local business leaders were also given to opportunity to speak with the Ambassador. When asked about his conversations with the Ambassador FPP’s VP of Compliance, Dan Wycklendt said that he had never met a man so noble and humble.

 

While in Milwaukee the Ambassador and the Consul General also enjoyed a Bucks/Rockets game hosted by the MMAC China Council. The game featured Chinese Native, Western Conference All star, Yao Ming.
